Reactor has reactance rate, which refers to the percentage of the additional capacity of series reactor to the additional capacity of capacitor or the percentage of inductive reactance XLN of series reactor to capacitance reactance xcn of capacitor. The selection of reactance rate also depends on the harmonic background
1. The background harmonic at the access point of capacitor equipment is 3 times
1) The third harmonic content is small, and 0.1% ~ 1% series reactor can be selected. However, it should be checked whether the third harmonic expansion exceeds or approaches the national standard limit after the capacitor equipment is put into operation, and there is a certain margin.
2) The third harmonic content is large, which has exceeded or approached the limit value of national standard. The mixed installation of 12% or 13% and 4.5% - 6% series reactors is selected.
2. The background harmonics at the access point of capacitor equipment are 3 times and 5 times
1) The third harmonic content is very small, and the fifth harmonic content is relatively large (including the limit value which has exceeded or is close to the national standard). Select 4.5% - 6% series reactor, and avoid using 0.1% - 1% series reactor.
2) The third harmonic content is slightly larger, and the fifth harmonic content is smaller. Select 0.1% ~ 1% series reactor, but check whether the third harmonic expansion exceeds or approaches the national standard limit after the capacitor equipment is put into operation, and there is a certain margin.
3) The third harmonic content is relatively large, which has exceeded or approached the limit value of national standard. The mixed installation of 12% or 12% and 4.5% - 6% series reactors is selected.
3. The background harmonic at the access point of capacitor equipment is 5 times or more
1) The fifth harmonic content is small, so 4.5% - 6% series reactor should be selected.
2) 5% series reactor should be selected because the 5th harmonic content is large.
4. When selecting 0.1% ~ 1% series reactors, it is necessary to prevent severe expansion or resonance of 5th and 7th harmonics; for selecting 4.5% ~ 6% series reactors, it is necessary to prevent severe expansion or resonance of 3rd harmonic
